🪄 Full Tutorial:

Step 1: Prepare Your Project

Before applying the Liquid Latex, make sure your piece is clean and dry. Dust or moisture can affect how well the latex adheres to the surface. Lay your project flat on a clean, level surface. If you’re working with unfinished wood or a porous material, consider sealing it first to prevent the latex from soaking in.

Step 2: Apply Amazing Liquid Latex

Pour a small amount of the Amazing Liquid Latex into a 1 ounce mixing cup or pour the latex directly onto the back of your piece. Using a silicone mixing stick, popsicle stick, or paint brush, apply an even layer of Liquid Latex to the back of your project. Ensure the latex is applied right up to the edge, where drips are most likely to form. The latex will create a protective barrier that prevents resin drips from adhering to the project's back. Allow the latex to dry completely, which usually takes 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the application and ambient humidity.

Quick Tip:

From here, you can continue to step 3 or add another layer of Liquid Latex, to create an even stronger barrier that won’t tear as easily when removing.

Step 3: Pour Your Resin

Once the Amazing Liquid Latex is dry, you can safely pour resin onto the top of your piece to create your desired design. Whether you’re adding colors, glitter, or embedding objects, focus on the creative process without worrying about potential drips. Allow the resin to cure. Make sure to keep your project flat and level during this time to ensure even curing and minimize excess drips.

Step 4: Peel off the latex and remove drips

After the resin has fully cured, it’s time for the most satisfying moment! Turn the piece over and gently peel away the Liquid Latex from the back. The latex should come off easily, bringing any resin drips with it. If some drips don’t come off with the Liquid Latex, don’t worry, you can easily pick them off with your fingernail. This step eliminates the need for extensive sanding, leaving the back of your project smooth and clean.

Using Amazing Liquid Latex as a protective barrier on your resin projects is a game-changer, making resin drips easy to remove and drastically reducing the time and effort needed for sanding. This simple yet effective technique keeps your pieces looking professional with minimal cleanup.
