FAQ
What makes Flex 60 special?
🛠️ Flex 60 is strong yet flexible with a Shore hardness of 60A, perfect for rubber molds, durable parts, and industrial uses. Its low viscosity captures fine details like a pro!
Why does my casting have bubbles?
💨 Bubbles happen when air gets trapped during mixing or pouring. Vacuum degassing or pressure casting is the best fix! But work quickly you have a 4 minute working time. No equipment? Mix slowly & pour in a thin stream to reduce air pockets.
How fast does it cure?
- 4-minute working time
- Demold in 2 hours with post-curing
- 18-24 hours at room temp
- Full cure in 72 hours
My piece is too soft—what went wrong?
🥴 Uh-oh! If Flex 60 stays soft or tacky, it might be improper mixing or cold curing conditions. Double-check your 1:1 mix and consider a post-cure in a warm space.
Can I use it for making rubber molds?
🛑 Absolutely! Great for casting resin, concrete, plaster, and more! Just don’t forget mold release for easy demolding.
My Flex 60 thickened in the bottle—help!
❄️ Cold weather can thicken the B-side. Just warm it to 100°F by placing the bottle in warm water & shaking well. Always store at 70°F+ in a dry spot to prevent this.
How should I store my urethanes to keep them in the best condition?
❄️ Store your urethanes in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures, ideally between 60°F and 75°F (15°C to 24°C). Keep the container tightly sealed to prevent moisture and air from affecting the formula. Wiping the container tops before sealing can help prevent stuck caps.
What are the best conditions for pouring and displaying urethane projects?
☀️ For the best results, pour urethanes in a well-ventilated, temperature-controlled environment with humidity below 60% to prevent defects and bubbles. Once cured, keep finished projects out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloration or degradation.
